A man has been hospitalised following a fire in Cork in the early hours of this morning. Gardaí investigating the blaze have arrested a woman.
The fire broke out at a house on College Road and around 1am this morning. A man was taken to Cork university hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Two units of Cork City Fire Service took more than two hours to bring the fire under control, however extensive damage was caused to the property.
A woman in her 40s was arrested at the scene and is being questioned at a Garda station in the Southern region where she can be held for up to 24 hours.
