The Script have confirmed the sad news on their Instagram that their founding member and guitarist Mark Sheehan has sadly died.
They've posted "Much loved husband, father, brother, bandmate and friend Mark Sheehan has passed away today in hospital after a brief illness. The family and group ask fans to respect their privacy at this tragic time".
Mark, who was 46, was a founding member of "The Script" and grew up on St.James' Street in Dublin.
