James Blunt has revealed what name he will change his name to if his album reaches Number One in the charts.
Blunt released a special reissue of his 2004 album 'Back To Bedlam', to mark its 20th anniversary.
The album was a huge success for Blunt, selling over 2.4 million copies. A key reason for this was the release of the global smash hit 'You're Beautiful' in 2005.
In a recent interview, James Blunt said that he was to start a campaign to get he reissue to hit number one in the charts.
“How do you do that? How do you get it back to number one at 20 years’ old?”, the presenter asked Blunt, to which he replied: “So, what they’ve made me sign up to do is if it reaches number one, I have signed up to changing my name to whatever the public want they can change my name".
Blunt also added: “on my life and the life of my one fan – Brian from Glasgow” – that he would do it".

In another video, James Blunt strolls into Warner Music Group for a meeting, where he is asked for his name by the receptionist, where he proceeds to mention the names which were recommended by his fans, including: “Jimmy Spliff”, “Blames Junt”, “Divock Origi”, “James Cucking Funt”, “Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Pop Star Fourd Chord Song Machiney”.
The singer finally says: “Blunty McBluntface” and is taken straight through, muttering: “People have no imagination”.
While many fans were rooting for 'Divock Origi', James Blunt shared the winning name, which turned out to be “Blunty McBluntface”, with 33k likes.
Back in 2016, a poll was ran by the Natural Environment Research Council to decide the name for their new polar research ship. Fans voted in favour of RRS Boaty McBoatface which beat RRS Poppy-Mai, named after a 16 month old girl with incurable cancer.
