The home addresses of TDs and ministers are reportedly being published on far right websites so they can be targeted

The Garda Commissioner is reported to advised the Justice Minister to raise the terrorism threat level from 'moderate' to 'substantial' due to violent political extremists. 

The Irish Examiner reports one online chat room used by agitators called the Taoiseach a "target for execution" in recent days.

Simon Harris recently said Ireland was not immune to domestic or international terrorism.

He says he couldn't comment on confidential Garda briefings, but added it's right to remain cautious:

Sinn Fein meanwhile wants an explanation as to why the terror threat level has been raised.
