During a recent concert, Pink was left shocked after a fan threw her mother's ashes onto the stage.
The pop star whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, was performing a headline show at London's BST Hyde Park over the weekend, when a bag was thrown at her feet from the crowd. This bizarre incident took place as Pink was performing her 2001 hit 'Just Like A Pill'.
Footage of this incident was posted on social media, showing Pink pausing her performance, before bending down to pick up the bag, while trying to work out its contents.
“Wait, is this your mum?”, the singer can be heard asking, visbly confused. “I don’t know how I feel about this". Moving the bag to the side of the stage, Pink continues with the song.
Following this, fans were quick to speak about this incident.
“I need y’all to stop being weird at concerts OMG…”, one fan chimned in.
Another added, “She handled it well cause I’d definitely be mad that someone handed me their mom’s ashes".
“I just saw another video of a guy coming out to his mom in front of Bebe Rexha so yes boundaries! I understand why some celebrities are standoffish now", another user wrote.
However, another fan offered a theory as to why a fan threw ashes onto the stage.
“OK so my friends were stood near this lady and back story is..her mum couldn’t get out much as she was so ill when alive so this lady takes her ashes places,” they wrote. “So she get out now it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but if it gives this woman comfort then that’s up to her", they added.
