Met Éireann Say Heavy Rain On The Way This Evening With Wet Weather Set For Next Week

Met Éireann have warned that wet weather will spread from the south later in the day, with wet weather expected for the week ahead.

While today will see largely dry and cloudy weather with some bright spells developing, showers are expected by the evening, turning heavy at times. 

Tomorrow is expected to be cloudy with longer spells of rain and blustery showers. In the afternoon, the rain is to clear, with bright spells to follow. Temperatures will remain between 13 and 16 degrees throughout the day. 

Looking ahead to the weekend, the national forecaster has said that the weather will remain unsettled, with further spells of rain on the way.

Saturday is to begin with windy and widespread showers, with the winds easing later in the day. Temperatures are to stay between 13 and 15 degrees. While there will be clear spells overnight, there will also be blustery showers, with temperatures ranging between 6 and 8 degrees. 

Sunday is expected to be sunny, with scattered showers also expected, which will ease off overnight. Temperatures are to remain between 10 and 12 degrees.

Rain is also expected for Monday and Tuesday, with Monday expected to see particularly heavy rain from the east and south, with temperatures remaining between 6 and 10 degrees.

Tuesday is to see temperatures remain between 9 and 11 degrees, with a mixture of sunny spells and showers, with Met Éireann predicting rain for the rest of the week. 

They said, "Current indications suggest that the weather will continue unsettled for the rest of next week with spells of rain or showers spreading eastwards across the country".
