The funeral of six year old boy Matthew Healy will take place in Cork today.
The young boy's remains are to be brought from his home in Watergrasshill, Co Cork, where he has reposed since Monday. They will be brought to the Church of the Immaculate Conception for requiem mass at noon today.
A private service will then take place after the mass in The Island Crematorium in Ringaskiddy.
A 37 year old woman Ruth Purcell Healy, has since appeared in court charged with the murder of Matthew Healy, who was found unresponsive in a car along the Rathmoylan area of Dunmore East in the early hours of last Friday. He was pronounced dead at University Hospital Waterford afterwards.
Ms Purcell has been remanded in custody, after an application was granted by Judge Kevin Staunton, who said that he could not grant bail on a murder charge.
The judge also requested that Ms Purcell Healy be psychiatrically assessed while in custody. She has been remanded in custody at Limerick prison until next Tuesday.
