Woman Dies Following Road Collision On Phibsborough Road

Gardaí are appealing for information regarding in a road collision which took place at the Cross Guns Bridge on Phibsborough Road in Dublin last night.

The collision took place at approximately 9.10pm last night (October 3), and involved a car and a pedestrian. A woman in her 60s was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body was removed from the scene, with a post mortem taking place in due course.

It was also reported that the car failed to remain at the scene, which is also being preserved, so the Garda Forensic Collision Investigators can conduct a technical examination.

An incident room has also been set up from Mountjoy Garda Station. 

Gardaí are appealing anybody with dashcam footage, who travelled in the Phibsorough between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on Wednesday 4 October 2023, to get in contact with them. They are also appealing for witnesses.
